The Center for Translational Science is currently expanding significantly in support of FIU’s overall strategy to become a Top 50 Public University in the National Rankings.

Our FIU Center for Translational Science in Port St. Lucie, Florida is about a 2-hour drive from FIU Modesto Maidique’s main campus in Miami, Florida. We often operate remote conferences and seminars at our facility to connect and share information on research projects, to foster new collaborations among faculty and students, and to build up graduate training pathways between campuses.

Founded in 1961, Port Saint Lucie is considered a beautiful community where everyone can work, study, live, and enjoy nature. It is a place to take on life’s chances and follow your dreams.

According to the 2020 United States Census, Port St. Lucie has a population of over 204,851 making it the 7th largest city in Florida and 3rd largest city in South Florida. It is one of the fastest growing cities in Florida, and for the better. The city boasts lovely and quiet neighborhoods, along with a great public school system, making it an ideal area to raise a family and empower the next generation.
