Overview
My research in the Black lab is focused on genetic screening of a library of compounds with a focus on Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) in Drp1 gene and its correlation to sepsis outcomes. The main goal of this research is to identify the role of the SNP in the severity of the sepsis and the prognosis. My other research focus is on PKG cleavage and its translocation to the mitochondria. The main goal of this work is to identify the importance of the PKG for the mitochondria function.
