High School Summer Internship Program
Program Details
You will experience the following during the internship:
- Learn how the scientific process leads to generating new knowledge.
- Work with some of the top scientists in their fields, and network with professional contacts.
- Work in state-of-the-art labs conducting experiments and obtaining results.
- Learn how to apply problem solving skills, gain critical thinking, investigate hypotheses, and apply the scientfic method.
- Develop tools that will help you determine your career path in science.
- Showcase what you’ve learned at the CTS High School Summer Internship Luncheon.
- Receive your scientific poster to use in future competitions. Winners will also receive a prize certificate.
- Receive a participation certificate and a letter signed by the Program Director.
- Earn over 100 volunteer hours if you complete the 5-week program.
Expectation
- Students are expected to have reliable transportation (whether student or parent).
- Students must commit to completing the full 5-week internship program.
- Dress code strictly enforced for biosafety:
- No open-toe shoes (sandals with socks are considered open-toe).
- No exposed skin on the legs. No shorts allowed.
