First South Florida Translational Research Symposium 4/13/22 – 4/14/22
Florida International University Center for Translational Science hosted the First South Florida Translational Research Symposium on April 13-14, 2022. The symposium featured four renowned plenary speakers addressing the highly relevant research topics of aging; oxidative stress, infection, and inflammation; endothelial function; and mitochondria and metabolism. On Wednesday, April 13, the symposium highlighted student research by featuring a competitive poster abstract session where undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students presented their research. A committee of judges determined the first-place research project in each group and present a ceremonial plaque.
