Overview

Dr. Park is a Research Assistant Professor at the Center for Translational Science of Florida International University. As a pharmaceutical scientist, Dr. Park has a diverse research background, from medicinal chemistry to drug formulation and ADME/physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling of pipeline drugs in academia (University of Kentucky, Seoul National University in South Korea, RIKEN in Japan) and the pharmaceutical industry (Sanofi). Her current research focuses on the pre-clinical development of drug candidates, extensively involved in multiple stages of Alzheimer’s disease drug development processes, from the initial discovery of drug candidates to pre-Investigational New Drug application stages. Using in vitro and in vivo tools, Dr. Park has evaluated all aspects of drug development processes of immunoproteasome inhibitors, such as investigating drug-like properties and the efficacy of lead drugs, to move forward into human clinical trials.
